Cooperative Care

Going to the vet is a stressful experience for some dogs and Action Works can help.

Reduce Stress

We can give you tips to make your dog’s trip to the vets a less stressful experience.

Common Equipment

Our training helps your dog become familiar with common tools like nail clippers and muzzles.

Stop Undesirable Behaviour

The more relaxed your dog is, the less likely he is to exhibit behaviours such as biting, barking and aggression.

Reduce Stress and Improve Behaviour

Visits to the vet or groomer do not have to be stressful for you and your dog. Our training helps your dog feel comfortable in situations that he might currently feel anxious about.

Dog Training

Reduce Stressful Situations

Is your dog uncomfortable wearing a harness or muzzle? Do you struggle to get them through the front door of the vet and do they hate taking medication?

Going to the vets can be extremely stressful for both owner and dog – but it does not need to be like that!

Proper Training Makes a Difference

We can train our dogs to be comfortable with routine procedures, increasing safety for all involved and reducing stress. We can train dogs to be comfortable with the equipment such as muzzles, having their nails trimmed, the application of eye drops or ear drops, receiving vaccinations or having blood draws and much much more.

Dogs want to feel safe and when they feel safe they are less likely to offer unwanted behaviours (growling, snapping or biting). Co-operative care is covered in weekly classes however we also offer private lessons.
